Poem: Overcoming Addictions – From Desert to an Oasis

Spread the Light

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

In the realm of Islam, where spirits soar,
A battle against addictions, deep at the core,
Imagery weaves a tapestry of the fight,
Between shadows of darkness and radiant light.

Imagine a storm, relentless and fierce,
An addiction’s tempest, seeking to pierce,
But Islam stands firm, a shelter from the gales,
A sanctuary of strength, where hope prevails.

Like a vast desert, craving’s mirage appears,
Whispering illusions, feeding on fears,
But in Islam’s oasis, truth emerges clear,
Quenching the thirst, dispelling all that’s insincere.

Picture a mountain, majestic and grand,
Symbolizing resilience, where we firmly stand,
With faith as our armor, steadfast and true,
We climb the heights, addiction to subdue.

The addiction, a deep chasm, dark and wide,
Threatening to swallow dreams and pride,
Yet Islam’s teachings, a bridge of light,
Guiding us across, from the depths to the height.

As a garden-blooming, addiction we face,
Pulling out the weeds, with heavenly grace,
Nurturing the soul with knowledge and prayer,
Replacing vices with virtues, with utmost care.

See the moon, serene in its ascent,
A symbol of purity, from darkness it’s sent,
Likewise, in Islam’s embrace, hearts are cleansed,
Renewed and rejuvenated, from addiction’s offense.

In the depths of addiction, we may feel lost,
But imagine a compass, guiding us at any cost,
Islam’s guidance, a North Star shining bright,
Leading us home, towards a victorious fight.

Picture a sunrise, painting the sky,
A new day dawning, addiction left behind,
In the morning’s embrace, a promise reborn,
Embracing sobriety, from dusk till dawn.

In the realm of Islam, strength resides,
Where addictions are conquered, as faith guides,
With imagery’s power, we envision the way,
Facing addictions head-on, in Islam’s ray.
