Dua to feel happy or to show gratefulness

Verses that help you understand gratefulness 

“To God belongs the future of the heavens and the earth, and all matters are controlled by Him. You shall worship Him and trust in Him. Your Lord is never unaware of anything you do.” (Quran, 11:123)

“If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.” (Quran, 14:7)

“By time, surely man is in loss, save those who believe and do good deeds, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.” (Quran, 103:1-3)

“Indeed, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others, and giving like kindred, and forbids indecency, and manifest evil, and wrongful transgression. He admonished you that you may take heed.” (Quran, 16:91)

“Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason.” (Quran, 8:22)

Dua to seek Allah’s help

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the passing of safety, the sudden onset of Your punishment and from all that displeases you.

(O Allah), Originator of the heavens and the earth, You are my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Make me die a Muslim and join me with the righteous. (12:101)

“O Allah, I seek Your protection from the loss of Your favours, the removal of Your complete protection, Your sudden punishment and all that which may incur Your displeasure.”

• ʿAbdullah b. ʿUmar (radiy Allāhū ‘anhumā) reported that from the supplication of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was [the above]. (Muslim 2739, Abū Dāwūd 1545)

“All praise is for Allah through whose blessing righteous actions are accomplished.”

• When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw anything which pleased him, he used to say [the above]. (Ibn Mājah 3803, Ibn al-Sunnī 378)

Dua for blessings and provision

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي وَوَسِّعْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي

“O Allah, forgive my sins, make my dwelling large, and bless whatever you give me. “

Dua for gratitude

حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل

Hasbi allahu wa ni’mal wakeel.

“Allah is sufficient for me and an excellent guardian”
