Poem: Death

Spread the Light

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

In Islam, death is not the end,
But a journey towards a new bend,
A passage from this world to the next,
Where our souls will find eternal rest.

For every soul shall taste death,
It is a truth we must not forget,
And when the time comes, we must be prepared,
To meet our Lord with faith that’s unimpaired.

For death is not a moment of sorrow,
But a chance to meet Allah tomorrow,
To answer for our deeds in this life,
And to be rewarded or punished for our strife.

And though we may grieve for those who’ve passed,
In Islam, we know that death cannot last,
For the soul lives on beyond this world,
And in Allah’s mercy, it will be unfurled.

So let us prepare for the day we’ll depart,
And seek Allah’s mercy with all our heart,
Let us do good deeds, and seek His pleasure,
For in the hereafter, it will be our treasure.

And as we mourn for those who’ve left us behind,
Let us remember that death is not unkind,
For it is a reminder of the life we’ll have to face,
And the eternal abode that we’ll embrace.

In Islam, death is not a cause for despair,
But a call to righteousness that we must bear,
For in the journey towards the hereafter,
We’ll find Allah’s mercy and love that’s grander.
