Poem: A Good Muslim

Spread the Light

`In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

To be a good Muslim is to strive,
In faith and deeds throughout our lives.
To worship Allah with all our heart,
And from His path to never depart.

To pray five times every day,
And to be truthful in every word that we say.
To fast in Ramadan with zeal,
And in charity, to always feel.

To read the Quran, its verses clear,
And to seek Allah’s mercy near.
To love all creatures great and small,
And to be humble before them all.

To avoid all sins, both big and small,
And to repent and seek Allah’s call.
To always speak the truth with care,
And to forgive those who wrong and dare.

To be honest, kind, and just,
And in goodness to always trust.
To honor parents and respect the old,
And to be generous, as the Prophet told.

To always seek Allah’s pleasure,
And to strive for heaven’s treasure.
To spread peace and love around,
And to never let evil be found.

So be a good Muslim, my friend,
And in Allah’s way, your life commend.
For He is the One, the Most High,
And to Him, we all must strive.
